KAMPALA, Uganda – The East African Gospel ministry team has returned home from a 10-day mission to Finland, filled with testimonies of God's faithfulness, powerful worship encounters, and lasting friendships.

From August 3 to 12, the six-member Ugandan team ministered across Western Uusimaa, sharing the hope of Christ through music at the Valofestarit Gospel Festival, a cultural concert at ViaDia, and Sunday services at the Free Church of Vihti.

The highlight of the tour was the Valofestarit Gospel Festival on August 8, where the team closed the event with an electrifying set at Nummela Town Square. The crowd—comprising Lutherans, Pentecostals, Free Church members, and even unbelievers—responded with clapping, dancing, and heartfelt worship.

"It was a beautiful cross-cultural exchange and a foretaste of heaven," said Director Samson Bukenya. "We came to minister, but we leave having been ministered to."

The team was deeply moved by the extraordinary hospitality of their hosts, Pastor Timo and Mrs. Satu Kulta, who opened not only their home but their family heritage to the Ugandan guests. The team enjoyed a lakeside cottage retreat, traditional Finnish sauna, and moments of deep fellowship around shared meals.

"They treated us not as guests, but as family," Bukenya expressed. "We are forever grateful."

Beyond the stage, the team engaged in community evangelism, distributed flyers for the festival, and networked with Finnish evangelists. They were also inspired by the remarkable peace and order of Finnish society, which broadened their perspective on community values and good governance.

The team is now looking ahead to future missions, committed to building on the relationships forged and the spiritual momentum gained during this landmark tour.

"The friendships forged, the cultural exchanges experienced, and the spiritual seeds planted will bear fruit for years to come," Bukenya concluded. "To God be the glory, great things He has done!"
